The Nancy Quarcelino School of Golf provides the Junior Performance Training Program for those junior golfers who play competitive golf and desire to compete or play at a higher level.
Both young men and women between the ages of 12-18 are welcome to participate in the program which offers a systematic approach to training, competing, skill improvement, and personal development.
The Junior Performance Training Program (JPTP) is led personally by Nancy Quarcelino, GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teacher and Rita Reasons, 2009 LPGA National Teacher of the Year and 2009 US Kids Golf Top 50 Teacher.
Nancy Quarcelino began her golf career at Florida State University where she helped coach the team to the NCAA national championship. She did all the recruiting for FSU and knows what to look for in a competitive athlete. She designed all practice and playing schedules for the team. Several of her players went on to compete on the LPGA Tour where they had successful careers.
Rita Reasons has coached golfers of all levels of ability including collegiate golfers and junior players who compete at the national level. She was once again selected by US Kids Golf as a "Top 50 Kids Teacher" for 2009 in recognition of her overall excellence and commitment to serving youth.
The JPTP introduces concepts and strategies developed for competitive golfers. Our goal is to prepare both juniors and their parents for the ups and downs of competition. This program is not intended to replace individual private lessons but to provide coaching for players to understand how to train effectively, both for competitive golf and for long term improvement.
Each participant will under go skills tests to gauge their ability and progress, attend group meetings, and attend parent/junior conferences with Nancy Quarcelino and Rita Reasons. All programs are in group settings except the parent/junior conferences which are private and scheduled when both parent and junior golfer can be present. The JPTP runs from April thru August .

Junior Group Meetings
Nancy and Rita will host a monthly (90 minute) meeting covering a variety of topics such as: How to make and use a yardage book, different rules situations, how to effectively practice before a competition, and maximizing the Mental Golf Profile.
LinxTracker![]()
LinxTracker is the best and easiest way to track performance on the golf course. Track over 75 critical stats used by PGA and LPGA Professionals as well as top collegiate and junior programs. This program m easures the strengths and weakness of your game and is very helpful in directing our instruction focus and your practice time.
Long Game Training Sessions
During these 90 minute sessions, juniors will work on individual facets of their own game while also taking part in group discussions, competitions, and evaluations.
Short Game Training Sessions
Statistics have shown that 63-65% of the golf school comes from inside 100 yards to the green. The 90 minute short game training sessions will be used to analyze each player’s short game skill level and as a motivation for improvement. Each player will learn how well they must perform in this area to be successful during competitions.
Mental Golf Profile
The Mental Golf Profile system generates personalized information for working on your mental game just as video and launch monitors produce personalized information for working on your swing and customizing your equipment. Each golfer spends about 10 minutes answering the online multiple-choice questionnaire. This process asks players a series of questions that help determine a player’s attitudes and behaviors. The profile then goes a step further by helping players and their instructors understand how to use and modify these tendencies to gain a mental advantage. Upon completion a report will be sent to the student and instructor for review.
In Motion Spine and Joint Center (Titleist Performance Institute)
By looking at the golfer as a machine that drives the golf swing, we assess the physical condition of the golfer in terms of strength, mobility, stability and biomechanics. In Motion Spine and Joint Center has developed a program that is available to golfers who wish to learn what may be holding back their game.
Players are placed through a complete array of tests usually reserved for the best players in the world. By assessing a “total picture” of your body, swing and equipment, our team will recommend a program that will integrate into our instruction to help optimize your performance.
All junior golfers and parents must first meet personally with Nancy Quarcelino or Rita Reasons to discuss the possibility of enrolling in JPTP. They can be reached by phone at 615-778-8823 or email: info@QSOG.com.
