WANTED: More Women Golfers

Posted in Women Golfers

Because of the economy, we are seeing more families get involved in golf. That is certainly not a headline that you will read about in the golf trade magazines or even hear about on the Golf Channel.

Think about it this way and it will make sense. If men want to continue to play as much golf as they have in the past, they must include the family in order to be able to justify the expense. In most cases the woman of the household has a big say in controlling expenses.  Therefore; many men are getting their families involved in golf so that they can spend more time at the course as well.

Golf courses are much more open to women playing at their facilities now more than ever before.  Because rounds are down overall, many welcome women with open arms and want them to play.  Golf needs players.  Golf is not gender specific.  Your money is welcome there.

But, women are not good about spending money on themselves when it comes to golf. They will buy new clubs for their kids and their husbands, but not for themselves.  If you are playing clubs that are over three years old, you are not taking advantage of the new technology.  Get your clubs tested.  Yes, you are good enough to see a difference between older clubs and the newest technology.

Unfortunately, we still see a discrepancy in clubs for women. It is better now than it was even five years ago, but sometimes when you go to demo days or even in to golf pro shops and see the lack of women’s clubs; your voice needs to be heard.  If there is not a good selection to choose from let the powers that be know about it.

There are golf courses, off-course golf shops and instructors willing and ready to take care of you.  Women are loyal customers.  You like to shop where someone knows you and listens to your needs.  That is why we are here for you.  Come out and let us take care of you and your family.
